    How to Fix ‘Not Registered on Network’ on Android

    But it is easier said than done. First, it is paramount to identify whether you are the only one facing that problem or has someone already faced the similar problem. With over millions of users for Android, in many cases issues encountered by a user have been recorded and resolved earlier.

    One such common issue which has plagued and is still affecting thousands of Android users is the ‘Not Registered on Network Problem.’ Let us understand in detail what the issue is actually about:
    What is “Not Registered on Network” error:
    Often Android users while making calls or sending messages to come across a pop mentioning ‘Not Registered on Network.’
    The ideal scenario is the loss of network connectivity on your device. However, such frequent pop-ups on your device may be a result of an issue mainly faced by users of Samsung.The Android users of Samsung devices often experience frequent network disconnection problems. On cross-referencing with the carrier networks, they come to know that it is actually an issue related to the phone.
    If you are one of those Android users owning a Samsung or any other device for that matter and facing the above mentioned Not Registered on Network, please read through the guide below to fix the problem.
    Causes for Not Registered on Network error:
    However, before we proceed to the solution at hand, it is pertinent to understand the causes of this problem.
    Not Registered on Network is a problem with a limited set of causes which if identified and addressed will become easier to get rid of.
    1) Software Update
    The error occurs after a software update because the IMEI number of your device may have changed to ‘SN 0000,’ and your service provider is unable to identify the IMEI of your device and hence, it prompts that your device isn’t connected to the network.
    2) Switching SIM Cards
    Another reason for encountering this error is that you have recently changed your SIM Card and your device fails to automatically identify the change in network settings corresponding to your new Service Provider.However, using some manual configuration, you can easily solve the issue.
    3) Blacklisting of Device:
    But if you are receiving this error on your device due to blacklisting on your phone then you must immediately get it corrected by visiting a police station or getting in touch with your service provider.
    The common reasons for which your IMEI will be blacklisted are either some has reported the device stolen or lost. In such an event, the device gets blacklisted in the national blacklist database of our country.
    How to Fix “Not Registered on Network” error
    Method 1
    The simplest and easiest of a method to resolve the issue is to select your network provider manually. Post manual selection of your network provider the previous settings will be over-ridden, and hopefully, you will no longer face the network issue.
    To manually select the network provider on your device, follow the below steps:
    Open Settings menu on your device
    Go to the Wireless and Networks options on the screen
    Tap on the Mobile Networks option
    Select the Network Operators menu
    After a while, you will find a list of network providers for your company
    Select manually the network operator to which your SIM belongs to
    After a couple of seconds, your device will be registered on the network, and you will no longer face the issueMethod 2
    If your device fell prey to the bugs of a software update, updating your software can work magically.
    Check your device for updates and if found update your device following the below steps:
    Full charge your device prior to updating your device
    Go to the Settings menu on your device
    Search for the About Phone option on your device
    Tap on it to open a set of menu
    To check for updates, select the Software option and if found update your phone
    The phone will restart, and the update will be installed on your device
    Once the device restarts, check if the network connectivity issue on your device has been fixedMethod 3
    Another method which helped various Android users resolve this issue on your device is as follows:
    Power off your phone.
    When your device is turned off, wait for 2 minutes
    Remove your battery and SIM card from the device
    Now press the Power and the Home button simultaneously for ten times consecutively
    Press the Power and Home button for 1-3 minutes
    Insert your SIM and battery and turn on your device
    Once your phone is on, remove and re-insert the SIM on your device
    Follow the procedure repeatedly for five times
    Wait for a message, “Restart your phone,” to appear on your screen
    Click on Okay to restart your device
    Once your device is restarted, you will no longer face the Not Registered on Network issueMethod 4
    If your device fails to register the settings of your network operator, we suggest you manually configure the settings to solve the network connectivity issues by following the given below guide:
    Input the following values in the mentioned fields to configure the APN (Access Point Network) settings for your network provider
    The APN settings vary differently for different network providers

    Method 5
    Another reason which may cause not registered on network error on your device is that your phone is locked. In order to run another network operator on your device, you need to unlock your device.
    However, the most reliable unlocking partner you can come across is Unlock Authority. The steps involved in unlocking your device are:
    Go to an unlocking partner and fill the ownership details asked in the form
    Post submitting the form you will receive the unlocking code required to unlock your device on your email
    Now you can use your device with all other network providersMeanwhile, if you are using any of the Samsung devices you can unlock your phone by following the below steps:
    Download the Samsung Tools
    Extract the .zip file to a folder and install Samsung Tools but don’t run it
    Also, extract the Crack.rar file to a folder
    From the crack, folder copy the two .exe files to this locationC:\\Progam Files\Z3X\Samsung\SamsungToolPRO\
    Now run the file, Z3X 24.3 Loader.exe
    When the information box appears, click on Okay to proceed
    Now run the next .exe file, Copie de gsm-magic.exe and click on Enable
    Click on start loader to start the Samsung Tool Pro
    Ensure that your device is rooted and you have enabled the developer options on your phone. Read the rooting guide if you don’t know what rooting your device means.
    Connect your device to your PC.
    On the sidebar of your device, you will notice an option
    Select the option to UNLOCK your device
    Reboot your device, and now your device is UNLOCKED, and you can use SIM cards from other network providersMethod 6
    If still, you haven’t resolved the problem yet we suggest you root your device and install Ariza patch to get rid of this problem. For rooting your phones, please refer to a rooting guide.
    However, if you are already rooted proceed with the below steps to install Ariza patch on your Android device:
    Root your device
    If you are already rooted, install the Busy Box module onto your device
    Busy Box can be downloaded from Google Play Store as well
    Download the Ariza.zip file on your device
    Boot into recovery mode and flash the .zip file to install the Ariza patch onto your device
    Reboot your device and your problem should have disappearedThe aforementioned list of solutions ideally works for all devices.
